Description
This is a bank barn located 10 metres north-west of Higher Churchill Farmhouse, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The barn is constructed from slate rubble and features a slate roof with gable ends. There is some cob infill under the eaves and on the right-hand gable end. The left gable end has a partially weather-boarded central ground floor doorway, along with a small square window frame and two narrow blocked slits. Above the doorway, there are one double and one single winnowing timber door, both of which have slate canopies. To the left-hand end, there is a single-storey outshut, and at the rear, there is an engine house. The roof, which is part of the 18th-century structure, has been raised.
