Description

This is a headstone dated 1725, located approximately 3 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Simon and St Jude. It commemorates Sarah Bucknell and is made of limestone. The headstone is an upright square-headed slab, standing about 750mm high. The front features a simple incised border and is inscribed in cursive script, recording the death of Sarah Bucknell in 1725.
