Description

The twin culverts, built between 1810 and 1814 for the Great Western Canal, feature two circular brick-lined culverts with large curved retaining walls made of dressed stone, which include flanking abutments. The structure is finely crafted, showcasing ashlar copings and a raised stone panel in the center of the retaining wall above the string course and culverts. This is a fine and rare example of this type of canal structure.
