Description
The pump and curved wall located south of Golly Cottage and Pine Cottage is likely from the 19th century. It features an iron pump set within a semi-circular enclosure, which is paved with pitched stones. The enclosure is formed by a curved wall made of whitewashed rendered cob with slate coping. The pump is still in working order and was previously used to supply water to Cosycot, Pine Cottage, and Golly Cottage. This structure represents an interesting example of a communal water supply associated with a pedestrian court to the south of Golly and Pine Cottage.
