Description
The garden wall, railings, and pair of gates at Bowdenhayes date from the early to mid 19th century. The structure features iron railings set on a stone rubble plinth, along with a pair of iron gates. The ironwork is notable for its decorative early to mid 19th-century design, which enhances the setting of Bowdenhayes. The garden wall is topped with iron railings that have spearhead finials and wrought iron scrolls, with the railings divided into sections by bulbous finials. The pair of matching iron gates also features spearhead finials and wrought iron scrolls, with additional scrollwork in the middle rails.
