Description
Fursdon Lodge is a lodge for Fursdon House, built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble and features a slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The lodge has projecting end stacks with brick shafts, one of which is set diagonally. It is a single-storey building with a two-room layout and a rear outshut that has a brick wall and stone returns. The central entrance leads into the larger right-hand room. The front is symmetrical with two windows and steps leading up to a central doorway that has a Tudor arch, a moulded stone surround, and a panelled front door with studs. There is also a 20th-century gabled timber porch. The windows are two-light iron casements with glazing bars, topped with stone square-headed hoodmoulds that have label stops. The lodge is located on what was once the road to Fursdon, which is now a track on private land.
