Description
Dymonds and Part Dymonds are two cottages, likely built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from plastered cob and rubble, with stone rubble stacks topped with 19th-century brick, and feature thatch roofs.
These cottages are designed with a one-room layout and an outer entrance lobby, facing south with mirrored layouts on either side of an axial stack that serves back-to-back fireplaces. Dymonds is located on the right (east) and Part Dymonds on the left (west), with Part Dymonds also featuring a stack at the left end. The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-window front that aims for symmetry. The outer doorways include a four-panel door with an overlight for Dymonds on the right, and panelled double doors with upper glazed panels, including colored glass on the left end for Part Dymonds. Each cottage has a canted bay window containing horned large-pane sashes with glazing bars. The first floor features 19th-century three-light casements with glazing bars, except for a two-light casement at the right end of Dymonds. The roof is hipped to the left.
The interiors have not been inspected.
