Description

The Rectory and adjoining Barn, located on Church Lane in Pinhoe, is an early 18th-century building that stands on the site of an older structure. It is two stories high and features dormers, constructed from red brick with a coved cornice. The south front has two projecting wings; the left wing includes a shallow segmental bay on the first floor, while the right wing contains sash windows. Between these wings, there are three sash windows, and the ground floor space between the bays is filled by a glass-house. The entrance features a pedimented overdoor with an attractive ironwork lamp holder. There are also some tripartite casements present. The building is topped with a hipped slate roof. At the rear, there is a large square stone chimney that clearly belongs to the earlier building, showing the slopes of its former structure with stone coping. Attached to this is a redstone barn that has a slate roof.
