Description
Nos 1 to 10 Southernhay West are a group of early 19th-century terrace houses. They are three storeys high and feature three windows, constructed from red brick with patent stone bands and a modillion cornice. The end houses project slightly forward, with entrances located at the sides. The ground floor windows are round-headed and have recessed arcading. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the doors are six-panel with panelled reveals. The doorways are of the typical round-headed patent stone type, similar to those found in Colleton Crescent, and feature lead fanlights with several different keystone heads. Some area railings have been partly removed. The houses have a parapet and a slate roof. This terrace forms a group with nos 13 to 24 Southernhay West.
