Description

The houses at 1-5 Mount Radford Crescent date to approximately 1835. They are detached stucco houses, except for No. 5, which is roughcast, arranged in a crescent. No. 6 was demolished. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, and vary slightly in appearance, with some alterations documented. They have five-window fronts, featuring a central splayed projection. The facades exhibit recessed panel treatment, with deeper panels above the first-floor windows. Some doorways are accompanied by iron balustrades and curtail steps. Sash windows with glazing bars are present throughout. Tuscan porches are found on all houses except No. 5. The roofs are hipped and slate-covered. Numbers 1 to 5 form a cohesive group.
