Description
Eglantine Market Place Gallery and Valetta House are a pair of houses with shop premises dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are stuccoed and feature a slate roof behind a parapet with stone coping at the gable ends. They have corner pilasters with a key pattern and consist of two storeys, attics, and cellars, arranged in four bays. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor is characterized by rusticated stucco and a hood above. The right side has a large early 19th-century multipane splayed shop window, and the left side has a later shop window. There are steps leading to two central recessed doorways, each with rectangular fanlights and panelled doors. Additionally, there are two modern flat roof dormers.
