Description

This is a 17th-century tomb chest located 3 metres southeast of the Parish Church in Poltimore. It is made of stone and features a chamfered slab with a moulded cornice. The sides have two bays that are panelled, each containing a heart-shaped shield separated by triple roll moulded pilasters. The ends of the tomb chest also have similar panels that contain diamond shapes, possibly hatchments. There is a moulded base that is likely situated below ground.
