Description

There are two limeburning kilns located immediately east of Lympstone Harbour, likely built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from limestone and brick. One kiln features a pointed arch made of brick and limestone and is currently used as a store. The other kiln has an elliptical brick arch with limestone jambs, and its interior is lined with brick, although it is now blocked. Both kilns are incorporated into a coursed rubble limestone wall.
