Description
Crawley Bridge is a road bridge over the River Yarty, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed grey limestone ashlar and features a single span with a segmental, almost round-headed arch. The arch is made up of ashlar voussoirs and has a projecting keystone. On either side of the bridge, there are large circular openings that likely serve as overflow channels. Above the arch, there is a plain projecting dripcourse that follows the road and slightly ramps towards the center. At each end of the bridge, there are projecting terminal piers. The original parapet has been removed and replaced with mid-20th century tubular steel railings.
