Description
Pump Farm House is a farmhouse dating from around the 16th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of plastered stone rubble and features a thatched roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a long façade with five windows, which include two and three-light casements with leaded panes. There is a doorway near the center that has a modern timber porch, and brick chimney stacks are located at both ends and along the ridge. A pump on the front wall is dated 1834.
Inside, the farmhouse has stopped chamfer ceiling beams, chamfered stone jambs, and a timber bressumer over the open fireplace. There are also remains of a jointed cruck truss at the north end. Adjoining the south side of the farmhouse is a farm building, which is a long, low stone rubble structure with a corrugated iron roof and a gabled end. This building has a cart entrance facing away from the road.
