This is a single-storey administration block, built in 1912, that served as offices and a laboratory within the Norman Lockyer Observatory. The building has seven bays and is constructed of concrete block with a facing of flint rubble. It features a hipped roof covered with asbestos, and the windows are mullion and transom style. A boarded door provides access. The block was founded by Sir Norman Lockyer for astronomical observations, investigations, and the promotion of astronomical study and related fields.
