Description

The forecourt railings, gates, and piers of Sidbury Manor date from the early 18th century and are designed in a style that features scrollwork panels and finials. These railings enclose the forecourt at the east entrance of Sidbury Manor. The double gates are elegantly swept up to the sides and center, complemented by ornate dog rails. Flanking the gates and positioned at the corners of the forecourt are piers made of red brick, which are adorned with stone dressings, stone caps, and ball finials.
