Description

This is a row of six early 19th century houses, numbered 18 to 26, on Temple Street. The houses are small, two storeys high, and have a stucco facade with stucco plinths. Number 26 is slightly taller than the others. They have gable-end slate roofs. The window arrangements are as follows: number 18 has two windows, number 20 has three, numbers 22 and 24 have one each, and number 26 has one window per floor. The windows are flush-sashed and set in moulded frames, without glazing bars. Number 18 features a shop front with a frame dating to the early to mid 19th century, including panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The front doors are recessed, panelled, and partly glazed, each with a moulded doorcase and a small cornice. The entrance to number 26 is located in a passage to the side. Numbers 2 to 26 (even) are considered to form a group, demonstrating group value.
