Description
The property comprises a farmhouse, divided into two separate dwellings, likely of medieval origin, with significant alterations dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. The building is constructed of stone rubble, with slate roofs. The Manor House section has a half-hipped and hipped roof, while the Manor Farmhouse, set at a right angle, forms an L-shaped plan with a gable-ended roof.
The Manor House has a five-window front, featuring two-light casement windows with leaded panes, along with two more modern windows. A central modern plank door provides access. A prominent external stone chimney stack, with set-offs, is situated at the south end of the right-hand side. The Manor Farmhouse, which adjoins the rear (south-east) of the Manor House, has a two-window front with three-light casement windows and leaded panes. A central, gabled porch, dating to the 19th century, is present. A projecting lean-to on the right-hand side incorporates a small medieval two-light window with a circular head. A stone chimney stack is in the gable end.
Inside the Manor House, there are stopped chamfer ceiling beams and a blocked fireplace in the south end, featuring stone jambs and a timber bressummer. On the first floor, in the party wall leading to the south-east, a stone arch from around 1300 is visible, showcasing carved head stops.
