Description
The walls to the rose garden at Conkwell Grange were likely built around 1907 and attributed to Sir E.G. Dawber. Constructed from rubble stone, they feature stone slate coping and enclose three sides of the garden. The back wall is notable for its central semi-circular recess, which includes a blank roundel, a stepped parapet, and a ball finial. Each side of the wall has a large fully circular opening topped with a parapet and a ball finial; the right opening is open, while the left is blank. At the south end of the west wall, there is an arched gateway that includes a wrought iron gate.
