Description
Lantern Cottage is a 16th or 17th century cottage that has been much restored. It is a single storey building with an attic, constructed of red brick and timber framing, featuring plaster infilling at the south end and a flint rubble base. The cottage has a thatched roof and three modern lattice dormers with an "eyebrow" design. The ground floor has irregular modern lattice casements, and the entrance is a modern door framed by old beams, topped with a small pent roof. The overall appearance is picturesque.
