Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house from the late 17th century that has been altered. It is built of red brick with some rubble stone on the ground floor and features ashlar dressings. The cottage has a hipped thatched roof and end stacks, and it stands two storeys tall with an attic. There is one 4-pane attic window in the roof. The front of the cottage has ashlar flush quoins and two first-floor stone mullion windows that are recessed and cyma-moulded, with an ashlar plaque and two rosettes between them. On the ground floor, there are cambered head casement windows on either side of a 19th-century door that is set in a thatched rustic porch. The rear wall is made of rubble stone, and there is a brick addition from 1928 at the back. A conservatory is located on the east end wall.
