Description

Courthill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a timber-frame front that was faced in red brick in the early 19th century. It was extended to the west in the later 19th century, also in red brick. The building features Bridgwater tile roofs with ridge and end stacks and is two storeys high. The earlier section, located to the right, has two triple casement windows on each floor, with one ground floor window on the right having a gauged brick head. The end wall is roughcast, revealing an exposed corner post of the framing. The rear roof has a steeper pitch. The later 19th-century west addition is of similar size and has a three-window range with ashlar chamfered-and-stopped flush mullion windows, featuring two three-light windows on each floor and a door to the right with a two-light window above. The interior has not been inspected.
