Description
The barn at Wick Farm, dating from the 15th century, is constructed of rubble stone and topped with a Bridgwater tile roof. It features central projecting gabled cart entries on each side, with the north entry having a plain weatherboarded gable and the south gable made of stone with coping. The cart entries have chamfered jambs and timber lintels, and there are buttresses on either side of the entries. The barn has heavy corner stones, one of which is inscribed with two scratch-dials. The south cart entry includes a side door with a chamfered Tudor-arched timber lintel. Inside, the barn has a five-bay layout with a two-purlin roof and two tiers of curved windbraces. It also contains three raised cruck trusses with arch-braced cambered collars, along with two tie-beam-and-collar trusses against the end walls.
