Description
The barn at Catridge Farm is an 18th-century structure that serves as both a barn and stable range. It is built from rubble stone and features stone slate roofs with half-hipped gables. The barn has a T-shaped plan, with the barn section located at the south end, which continues north under a single roof that includes a stable and loft. The barn has opposed cart entries in the projecting west wing, which is positioned against the wall of the longer range. The main range consists of a short section to the south of the wing that has a stable door, and a longer section to the north that features a straight joint, two upper openings beyond, and a stable door at the left end. The rear wall displays a straight joint between the barn and the north end. The main range has a five-bay roof, while the west wing has a two-bay roof.
