Description
This is a cottage located at 39 Bristol Road, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble, featuring plain freestone architraves. The lower part of the steep-pitched roof is covered with stone slates, while the upper five courses are finished with double-Roman tiles. The building has a single-unit plan and includes a single-storey brick lean-to at the rear.
The exterior consists of two storeys and a one-window range. It has two-light stone-mullioned windows fitted with 20th-century casements. The entrance, which features a plain architrave and a hood supported by moulded brackets, has been added to the right corner of the adjacent property, No. 41, where the quoin has been repositioned. The interior has not been inspected.
