Description
41 Bristol Road is an early 19th-century cottage constructed from coursed limestone rubble with freestone quoins. It features a stone slate roof that is hipped to the right, with a brick stack located at the left gable end and the right return. The cottage has a two-unit plan and includes a 20th-century extension at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical three-window range. The mid-19th-century windows are horned sashes with four panes over four panes, although some are fixed, and they are set within stone mullions. The main entrance consists of a mid-19th-century four-panel door that is sheltered by a moulded hood on brackets, with a single-light window above it. Flanking this entrance on both floors are two-light windows. To the far right, there is a similar door that provides access to No. 39, which has resulted in the quoin being moved to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
