Description

No. 45 Market Place is an early 19th-century building that stands three stories tall, constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar quoins, window surrounds, and a parapet. It features moulded strings above the first and second floor windows. The roof is half hipped and covered with slate, flanked by brick chimneys. The upper floors have two windows with glazing bar sashes. The ground floor has a shop front dating from around 1840, which includes panelled angle pilasters and a Doric entablature that frames plate glass windows and a central door. There is also a six-panel house door with a plain rectangular fanlight located at the right-hand corner.
