Description

This is a chest tomb from the mid-18th century located in the churchyard, about 1 metre north-east of the J. Chanter monument, which is situated north-east of the north aisle of the Church of St. Bartholomew. The tomb is constructed of ashlar stone and features two raised octagonal plaques on each side, with a fielded centre, angle piers, and a moulded base and cornice. The pulvinated frieze projects forward over the piers.
