Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 7 meters north of the Wastfield monument, north of the north transept of the Church of St. Bartholomew. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features two raised decagonal plaques on the south side, with fielded centers and angle piers that have rosette designs. On the north side, there are two shield plaques, also with fielded centers and angle piers. The tomb is adorned with shield end plaques and has a moulded base and cornice, which includes a pulvinated frieze that is broken forward over the piers.
