Description

This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 9 meters north of the Wastfield monument and north of the north transept of the Church of St. Bartholomew. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The north side features a large oval plaque framed by decorative foliate scrolls, while the south side has two shield plaques with fluted centers and fluted angle piers. The tomb also has a moulded base and cornice that project forward at the angles and center. It is situated approximately 1 meter north of the Bayly monument.
