Description
This is a mid-17th century house and post office, altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of banded flint and stone, with brick raised eaves, a Welsh slate roof, and brick stacks. The building has an "L" shape. The front elevation is two storeys high with three windows. It features sash windows, a six-panelled door to the left of centre, and a 12-pane flush sash window to the left. To the right is a projecting shop front from the early 19th century, with three arched lights on either side of double half-glazed doors. The first floor has three 12-pane flush sash windows, the left two set within raised eaves. The left return has a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor and two 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements with a hoodmould above on the first floor, featuring a coped verge. An attached two-storey wing from the 19th century is located at the rear, with 12-pane sashes, a blocked doorway, and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The rear of this wing contains 20th-century casements and flat-roofed extensions. To the right of the main house is an early 19th century cob range with steel casements, deep eaves to a Welsh slate roof, a planked door, and casements on the right return, along with a loft door to the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
