Description
Nos 9, 11, and 13 on High Street are a row house that has been divided into three separate dwellings. Originally dating from the 16th century, the building was refronted in the mid-19th century and has undergone late 19th and 20th-century alterations. The exterior is made of squared and coursed dressed stone, featuring flush rusticated stone quoins on the east front, while the rear is constructed from coursed rubble. The roof is gabled and covered with stone slates, with end stone stacks, the left one having a brick cap.
The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window east front. The windows feature chamfered mullions with round heads, set in deep square reveals, with three lights in the central window and a pair of two-light windows to the right on the ground floor. The upper central window has a geometric leaded pattern in its central light, while the other lights are small pane casements. A central Tudor-arched doorway has a double chamfered architrave and a studded plank and batten door, with a raised blank panel above it. There are also two gabled late 19th-century dormers with casements. The interior has not been inspected.
