Description
Manor Farm Cottages are two cottages dating from the late 17th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. They are constructed of coursed rubble, featuring flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings, and a stone slate roof with two brick stacks. The cottages are two stories high with an attic and have a four-window west front. The original three-light chamfered mullions are preserved in the outer bays of both floors on the left side and in the inner ground floor bay on the right; there is a single 17th-century light above the central door. The remaining windows are 20th-century small pane casements. The central doorway has a moulded architrave and a deep-set porch with a part-glazed door, while there is an additional plank door with a lean-to stone slate porch to the right. A continuous string course runs along the front, with flush relieving arches over the ground floor windows, and there are four hipped dormers with two-light casements. To the right, there is a lean-to 20th-century extension.
