Description
Mascalls is a detached house built in the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building features rubble stone construction with a yellow Flemish bond brick front and a half-hipped tiled roof that has brick stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic and has three windows on the front facade. The central entrance consists of a planked door, flanked by a canted bay with casement windows and a 2-light casement on either side. The first floor has three 2-light casements, while the attic includes two gabled dormers, each with 2-light casements. On the right side, there is a 2-light casement on the ground floor, a single-light leaded casement with a dripstone on the first floor, and another single-light casement in the attic. Attached to the right is a 2-storey 19th-century addition that features casement windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in March 1986.
