Description

The Goddard monument is a chest tomb located about 30 meters north of the north-east angle of the north transept of the Church of St. Bartholomew in Corsham. Dating from around 1660, it is constructed of ashlar stone and features slab sides with a heavy chamfered capstone. The north side of the tomb bears an inscription commemorating T. Goddard of Hartham, who died in 1660, while the east end has an inscription for T. Goddard, who died in 1690.
