Description

This barn, located to the north of Elm House Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features ashlar flush quoins, a stone tiled roof, and coped gables. The barn is large, consisting of 8 bays, and includes ventilation loops in the walls. There are two rear lean-tos with projecting cart entries. At the front, there is one large projecting cart entry with a hipped roof, a lean-to against the center wall, and a gable that connects to a range of open-bay cart sheds, which replace the right side cart entry. The cart sheds are not considered to be of special interest.
