Description

The Tucker monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11 meters south of the southeast chapel door of the Church of St Nicholas. This late 18th-century tomb is made of ashlar stone and features two octagonal raised plaques on each side. The design includes fielded centers and angle piers with rosette centers, a moulded base, and a moulded cornice with a pulvinated frieze that is broken forward over the piers. The backgrounds of the plaques are highlighted in black, and the inscription on the south side is dated 1773.
