Description

Rose and Crown Terrace is an early 19th-century terrace of stucco cottages located on Harnham Road in East Harnam. The terrace comprises nine houses, numbered 53 to 61 (odd). Originally thatched, the roofs have been altered; most retain thatch, though number 61 has a gable end slate roof. The houses generally have two windows per floor, with a mix of casement and sash windows on the ground floor. Each house originally had a central door consisting of four flush panels within a moulded frame, leading to a modern beehive-shaped thatched porch. Number 59 has an additional bay to the right, while number 61 is constructed of rough east and was formerly brick. It features two casement windows to each floor, and a central four-panel door with a gabled porch. An additional bay has been added to number 61 in a matching style. Numbers 53 to 61 (odd) form a group.
