Description

Lloyds Bank is a house that has been converted into a bank with a flat above. It dates from the 16th or 17th century and features a timber frame with a colourwashed brick ground floor. The first floor is jettied and rendered, and the roof is tiled. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays. The shop window is arcaded with a recessed door in the left bay. It has four-paned sash windows and a moulded timber cornice. Historical records indicate that the building originally had jetties on both sides, suggesting it was once a free-standing structure. There is a two-storey extension at the rear with various windows and a second pantiled roof. Additionally, the oven from an earlier bakery is located under the rear garden.
