Description

No. 39 is a south lodge to Fosbury House, now serving as a cottage. It was built around 1860 and features a construction of brick laced flint with a fishtail slate roof. The building is two stories tall and has an L-shaped plan. The left gable faces the road and extends down to form a flush porch, while a block behind the porch rises up and is hipped as a tower. The lodge has three-light stone mullioned and transomed windows set within pointed brick arches, with the tympana being tile hung. There is a stack located to the left.
