Description

The Colton monument is an early 19th-century pedestal tomb located about 6 meters north of the chancel at the north-east angle of the Church of St. Christopher. It is constructed of ashlar and features oval plaques on each side, with Corinthian columns at the corners. The monument has a moulded base, a cornice, and a ridged cap that supports a crown finial. The inscription on the north side commemorates Mrs. M. Colton, who died in 1821.
