Description
Ryleys Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time. It is constructed of rubble stone and features Bridgwater tile and stone slate roofs, with coped gables and end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front range that includes stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds. The front wall is made of squared stone, and the first floor has a combination of three-light, two-light, and three-light ovolo-moulded windows. The ground floor features two-light cyma-moulded flush mullion windows on either side of the door, which has a plain surround. There is a 19th-century gabled stone porch with a depressed-arched entry and a keystone. The farmhouse also has a rear wing and a north end stack. Attached to the northwest corner is an L-plan wing that includes a west stack and stone slates on the rear north range.
