Description
Stable Lodge is a lodge for the Grittleton estate, built around 1840. It is constructed of squared rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate low-pitched hipped eaves roof. The building has ashlar stacks on the side ridges and is designed in a single-storey, square plan. It includes 2-light stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds and flush quoins. The north front has a central arched door set in a raised moulded surround, with ornate hinges and a blank shield plaque above it in a shallow open pedimental gable. There is a window on each side of the door, and the west and east sides each have two windows.
