Description

April Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located on the west side of Castle Combe. It is constructed of rough rendered rubble stone with a thatched roof and end wall stacks. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. The gabled front features an upper oval light, a three-light cyma-moulded recessed mullion window to the attic with a hood, and two similar two-light ground floor windows. A door is positioned to the left. A higher two-light window with a hoodmould is present on the north end wall. The windows have leaded lights. 20th-century extensions have been added to the left and right sides of the original structure.
