Description

The Butcher monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 5 metres east of the east end of the Church of St Peter in Little Cheverell. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a corniced table and recessed corner balusters, along with a moulded entablature. The framed panels are divided by a central pilaster adorned with a rosette. It commemorates John Butcher and William Butcher, who died in 1809, and their wife, who died in 1795.
