Description

The Poplars is a house built around 1820 to 1840. It is constructed of diaper brick and has a slate roof. The building is two stories high and features three bays with a central hallway, making it two rooms deep. The entrance has a four-panel door and a fanlight, which is sheltered by a moulded bracketed canopy. The windows are 16-pane sashes with flat brick wedge lintels. There are lean-tos at the eaves on both ends, which are slightly set back, and the gables are tile hung. The house has two stacks on the spine wall and remains unaltered.
