Description
Nos 43 and 44 are two cottages that have been combined into one house, dating from the 17th century. The structure features flint and timber framing with brick noggings and a thatched roof. It is one storey high with an attic. No 44 consists of one bay with a rear lean-to and a stack on the left side, while No 43 includes a flint-built or rebuilt service room with a left stack that has an oven. There are extensions at both ends of the building. The doors are boarded, and the windows are timber casements, with the timber-framed section consisting of three panels high, the upper panel being subdivided horizontally. The thatch is hipped over the outbuildings and sweeps up over two dormers. The outbuildings are weatherboarded. Inside No 43, there is a spine beam with diamond stops.
