Description

Kennet Cottage is likely a 17th-century cottage, though its precise origins remain uncertain. It is built of roughcast brickwork and has a thatched roof. Originally a one-story, two-bay building, it was raised to two stories and extended by a further bay, with a one-story section added to the left and a lean-to to the right. The entrance is located in the right bay, which contains a large inglenook fireplace on the left. The cottage features casement windows, and a thatched canopy covers the boarded front door. A pitching door provides access to the attic of the left extension.
