Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a thatched roof. The original section is two storeys and two bays wide, and it has been extended to the left by a further bay, which is partly timber-framed and has a hipped roof. The interior follows a lobby entry plan. A central door, with a glazed panel, is set within a lean-to porch. Three-light timber casement windows now occupy the openings, replacing earlier windows that originally had brick lintels and keystones. A plat band runs along the front. The right gable was rebuilt in the early 20th century. The cottage has a central stack and a stack to the extension. A single-storey wing is situated at the rear on the left-hand side.
